QFMS to split nominal value of QSE listed firms' shares
The entity targets a value of QAR 1 per share

Mubasher: The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMS) announced plans to split shares’ nominal value of the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) listed companies.

The financial entity targets a value of QAR 1 per share, according to QFMS’s statement on Thursday. The authority works on developing the procedures and the appropriate mechanisms to regulate the process.

The step is part of QFMA’s regulatory and supervisory role over the capital market in the country, according to the statement.

Moreover, the decision aims at raising the prospects for investment in the GCC nation's financial market, expanding the shareholders' base, in addition to attracting small investors.
